Decoded Some Lyrics Written in Kanji

Shiz, I'm supposed to do my assignments now, but... because the song is on repeat, I simply can't stop the urge to sing along. But, alas! I couldn't find any romaji lyrics on the net, perhaps because it's not popular?

The song is "lost" by Hatsune Miku. It was composed by 164 (one of my favorite composers! XD) and was featured in the album "EXIT TUNES Presents Supernova".

Even after half an hour of searching YouTube, Google, NND and reaching 10 pages of results, nothing matched what I wanted to have. Desperate, it lead my mind to think of other "uncommon" options. And because I wanted to get the romaji lyrics so badly, I searched for the kanji lyrics and used Google translate and its "Listen" function to decode the lyrics. Using my listening skills, boo yeah... I kinda got the lyrics 80-ish% correct. XD

I don't know which syllables or words to separate so I end up with a very roughly decoded kanji lyrics XD
And no English translation. I am a person who cannot understand Japanese, and is trying her best to break the language barrier T___T

UPDATE: Someone corrected the lyrics for me! T u T
Thank you AMG... Well, I can't think of any other way to thank her.. but, here's her site: http://www.vanacarpio.com/?20604980

UPDATE 2: A friend of mine generously translated the whole song! :D
Thank you very much, Hoshifura! XD http://www.youtube.com/user/hoshifura

English translation:

Without even bothering to wear any shoes,
I left my email unread.
I forgot to bring my application form wrapped in the faded plastic bag.

I hear someone/something
as if these things have been laid down ((for a certain reason.))
I'm at my best // I'm shining in my own way,
and yet as each day passes,
it seems that the good things laid down for me
are to be left behind
only to vanish.

Sitting on the bed, watching
endless laughter
from the television screen
hearing only the answering machine talk repeatedly.
I can't forget.

Knowing the color of this town
has blinded me from seeing any kindness.
Realizing I am merely alone,
I muttered,
I'm alive.
Tears from the cloudy sky
poured down.

I gasp some air
in need to clutch my dubious tomorrow.
Just now
yes, I need to feel it.

I hear someone/something
as if these things have been laid down ((for a certain reason.))
I'm at my best // I'm shining in my own way,
and yet as each day passes,
it seems that the good things laid down for me
are to be left behind
only to vanish.

Knowing you
has brought me to a new color of kindness.
I realize, I am alone.
Tomorrow, I may be as well.
But I want to be strong like you.
I can manage.
I can hope.

Notes from Hoshifura:
  • 1st verse is giving the setting that s/he has given up looking for a job.
  • last lines from the verses are written in katakana instead of hiragana so I guess 164 intended some pun there or something (ワカラナイ and オボエテル ; "wakaranai" and "oboeteru" ; "I forgot" and "I remembered")
  • "Knowing the color of this town has blinded me from seeing any kindness." I am not entirely sure of this, oh man I am honestly confused, but knowing the setting of the song it's intended, I think it's meant that s/he's saying that the world we're all living in is harsh due to society always being judgmental of what we do (esp in Japanese standards, remember that many things are considered unacceptable in their society)
